OOC: Bullets, powerful magic, and D all the above - I doubt there is a crowd in fact where is the military in a time like this?!?!?!?! Today may 4th 2007 is a day that will live in infamy. The entire market place is under attack by ...Demi-Gods? Hang on what is this I think there is a problem with my speech.... Well to say people are not stupid enough to hang out in a place for death this is not some sort of normal fist fight people would be dead right now if the where being "spectators."
"Nice show loser now get out of the way he is mine!" Jeck was ticked that this self-righteous [sp] kid was now getting in the way. In fact what were these people doing when they decide to use swords and staves as weapons. Well he was not going to put up with it. He saw the young girl leave the fight. That was just one person less he would have to deal with.
"Bring it on. I fear nothing! Not even death" Jeck yelled as he shot a few more bullets at Nezumi.
~Meanwhile~
I am almost there. I feel like this is going to be fun. If the cloaked figures face were visible it would be a jolly smile. He was walking towards the battle on the same path that Sage was fleeing. The town had and air of silence and emptiness.

Nezumi was hit by a few bullets, yes. Although only a few, he collapsed to the ground and curled himself into a ball as soon as he touched the ground. He was muttering something under his breath.
“No… get out of my head. I don’t want your thoughts… your memories… I don’t want to be your vessel! Leave me alone…. So many voices… everywhere…. I can barely see…”
Nezumi’s pupils were white, he was not blind however. Far from it, a downfall to his ability to communicate with spirits and souls; sometimes it becomes overwhelming. At times his eyes turn white and he can see every spirit around him. There are so many in fact that his vision becomes clogged, and his ears become so filled that he becomes deaf to all actual speech.
“No… please… not now….” His voice became low, random syllables started to pour out quietly.
Sage looked at Nezumi, “Take care… I’ll see you guys later…” She walked by the man and stopped in her tracks, Is he a bounty hunter? I could have sworn I’ve seen him before…. If that’s true, and he recognizes me… oh damn Magi and Devon don’t even know about my bounty…. Ehehe… I guess I forgot to tell them that I’m a wanted criminal… so I took out a military base or two… nothing that major… I guess…
Wow, maybe that’s why there aren’t any military people and stuff around. Although I guess it was inevitable that Sage was going to break down and simply destroy something eventually, a military base?! What were they doing while this was happening? Drinking something? Smoking something?
It doesn’t matter, they’re just gone. Deal with it.

Magi sighed, “We do this the hard way I guess…” Magi thrust the spear at Jeck. Not trying to hit him of course, but close enough that if he didn’t react he’d have a spear through his heart.
What a nice person Magi is. Then again there is the matter of the spear and Nezumi… although Sage was probably not in any danger at all, probably. Hopefully the black spear would land its mark, but if it didn’t Magi had a back-up plan.
“Gorgon’s eye, cast a glance and turn to stone. Release thy strength!”
The glove on Magi’s right hand started to glow. Magi lifted it, almost showing the bright purple mist forming around the hand to Jeck. And eye opened in the palm of his hand and started to glance around, and then it sighted Jeck. Is it a good thing to have a gorgon (or the eye of a gorgon) sight you and stare? Not likely, but as long as Jeck didn’t look into the eye he’d be fine… wait, a bright purple light and purple mist? Hard not to look.
Even if Jeck was hit by it, the effect would only be temporary since Magi didn’t unlock the gorgon’s eye fully. Lucky Jeck.

OOC: Loading Magi's Character..... Loading done... What not military grade bulletproof armor piercing! Should have seen this one coming all 3 times. Seriously I think Jeck is the only person who thinks a head!!! Well I guess Magi did do a little thinking since he obviously knew he was going to fail in his attack against Jeck.
Jeck repositioned him self and took the full force of the spear blow. There was a nasty crunch of metal and Jeck stumbled back a few feet back. The only apparent damage was to Magi's primitive spear, even Jeck's military grade bulletproof armor had taken no apparent damage. Jeck could not help but chuckle a bit.
"Wow no wonder you failed to catch this guy you can't even...." Jeck heard from Magi's mutterings gorgon and stone. Even a school kid would know not to look at the drawing purple light. "Perhaps you were a little bit more prepared than I thought but seriously get out of the way. There is absolutely no way your going to capture Nezumi." Jeck kept his eyes away from the purple light. Great this guy is an idiot. Nezumi is going to get away now. Just what kind of mystical beast did he slay this time. I thought gorgons where just myths.
Being a man of action, Jeck did not just sit there idling his time away waiting for Magi to lower his hand. He attempted to trip the idiot so he could get to Nezumi before Magi did.
"Hello ma'am [sp]," the cloaked figure addressed Sage, "would you please tell me what is going on here. I would not want any more damages to this, um... fine marketplace. The name is Jerik if you would like to know." Jerik was hoping for an answer. He had no intuitions in harming or arresting her in fact he had no idea that anyone in the vicinity had a bounty. That could be possibly attributed to the fact he was no bounty hunter, just a curious old man.
OOC: Perhaps you should have done a little research.

OCC: Perhaps I should have… and I don’t think that bulletproof armor is going to stop the spear of a Demi-god… even if it did I don’t think it would damage the spear lol. And on that spelling… it’s ma’am…
Nezumi stood up, calm and perfect, he turned and started to walk forward slightly, “Magi, I’m sorry but that is my spear you are holding. When I say that I’m saying I want it back, a mortal like you would never be able to use my spear properly.”
His voice had obviously changed, and obviously Nezumi was being possessed by something. I have a feeling he’s being possessed by Regeki, just a thought since he was referring to the spear in Magi’s hand as his own.
Meanwhile Sage’s heart had leapt. “Oh nothing is happening… except that my two students are being attacked and are obviously on their own ‘cause they are no longer my students. But there is this one crazy dude that started this whole shootout thing and now the marketplace is like this…”
She talked quickly, and obviously “forgot” to mention her name. This was starting to turn out really strangely… and quite amazingly there was still nothing around that would stop the small war.

Magi, not being stupid, noticed the kick and blocked it with one of his own. Then of course he head Nezumi’s voice. Doesn’t it always suck when your friend demands your spear in the middle of a fight in which you are using it, I bet you’ve never encountered this problem.
“Nezumi what are you talking about? Your not getting my spear.”
As soon as he finished talking it hit him, Jeck and he were trapped. Any movement from either of them and the other could easily take the other out. If Magi moved his hand then it would give Jeck a chance to attack. If Jeck moved then Magi would have a chance to attack.
The best course of action in a stalemate is no action at all, let your opponent move first, retaliate afterwards. A snowflake has a better chance of walking through hell than Magi has of waiting for Jeck to move first.

Jeck did not fancy stalemates. In movies they would put him to sleep. He had no choice but to ether wait or figure out away to take down Magi.
This kid has some potential but nether of us can risk a stalemate. If ether of us wait to long Nezumi will get a way! Jeck's thoughts were starting to get a bit more frantic. He than came to a quick conclusion, no wonder why this kid can never catch this guy! He does not act! Risking it Jeck decides to strike first but his plan consisted of more than just that.
"You are going down kid!" Jeck yelled as he made the 'first' strike.
The clocked figure nodded at Sage's reply. "Thank you. I guess I have some little boys to discipline now. Its a shame that two friends would fight." Jerik continued walking finding himself right at the battle. This will be fun. He thought to himself as he prepared himself to finish the battle.
OOC: It was fun knowing our characters but....

Nezumi’s glance drifted towards the new man, “Heh… I guess someone else wants in huh?” He said aloud, “Well… I don’t have anything right now… I guess I’ll have to fetch my spear later…”
Nezumi bolted towards the man, with lightning speed. He jumped and twisted in the air. With a single kick he could easily break a man’s neck, and that’s just what he aimed to do right now. His right leg reached up towards the man’s head; with this kick he would re-gain some strength as well.
At this point in time it would be wise to note that Nezumi is more than brute strength, in face he doesn’t have much “brute” in him. But then again this isn’t Nezumi we’re dealing with.

Was Magi the kind of person to sit idly by while there was a bounty to be had? No, it was as simply as that. He was not going to just wait around, in fact he had been getting a few things ready during this stalemate.
Going back to the “A snowflake has a better chance of walking through hell than Magi has of waiting for Jeck to move first,” comment, it was true. He was simply not patient enough to let someone act before he does, especially in a fight.
His reaction? Of course it had to do with his exceptional control over his inherit ability. No he wasn’t planning on flying off in a random direction or ripping Jeck to shreds. In fact he was planning on doing a bit of both at the same time.
Magi closed his eyes; he was focusing on something, tuning his own hearing until he heard the breeze. At this point it was just an application of energy, precise enough to force the breeze in a specific place, but powerful enough to compact it in that place.
Magi’s eyes opened, a smile spread across his lips. “Going down? No, I believe that whatever you are planning on doing is suicidal. I’m not saying that you will blow us up, but quite simply I have to say that whatever you are planning will not work, at least not if we’re ten feet apart and your flat on your back.”
Magi closed his hand, the purple glow fading, at the same time however he braced himself for an impact. Though his plan would separate the two, it would not be without fault, creating a very small orb by compacting a lot of air is one thing, letting it go however…
Both Magi and Jeck were hit in the chest, a large enough inpact to throw them in opposite directions. The air that was released struck the two not only in the chest, but because of the placement it would strike the two from the waist up. Magi’s glasses were knocked off and shattered.
Magi caught himself in the air, simply trying to balance was hard. His head rung out with pain, his balance was off. He realized he would made a mistake, he himself would take most of the blast.
At this point in time it would be wise to say that, to put it bluntly, if Jeck had planned on blowing the two up he would only succeed in blowing himself up, and probably some light burns on Magi. Also at this time, just for the sake of location, Magi was about six feet from the place he had set off the blast, his spear was lodged into the ground about seven feet to the right, and as for Jeck…
(Sorry, long post, a lot of words, and probably very little of it is usefull. I havn't slept in a while so... well at least I posted. About my absence, I have been extreamly busy with school, then I was hit by work as soon as summer arrived, and I have finally gotten a good internet conection that will actually last for a while. My last one I got for about a month before it got disconected...)
