Shoo!" she held a handkerchief [don't ask where she popped it out from] to her eye in mock tearful fashion, "Aww, my widdle Shou-chan is growing up!"

"We? Who's the we?" Hanshou looked at Kinoko weirdly and stepped away from her. "I'm just kidding," she grinned. She listened to Kinoko. "White roses? How pretty! I love roses. Why wouldn't people grow roses?" She started moving. "Alrighttt, I'm leaving," she said irritatably. At Kinoko's mockery of 'Shou-chan all grown up', she whacked the handkerchief out her Kinoko's hands. "Get that thing out of here!" She turned her back and walked towards the marketplace. "It's not like I'm actually leaving you, anyway! I'm pretty sure you're going to tag along to spy..." She raised a hand and made a salute to the figures behind her.
A walk from Hanshou's house to the main marketplace shouldn't really take that long...perhaps only about a 10 minute walk? It was getting towards evening and the sun shed yellow-orange light on the streets as it departed for its rest to allow the moon to dominate the sky. It wasn't getting really dark yet, so streets should be safe. =] Right?

Kinoko stuck her tongue out at her friend for her extremely mature reply and shrugged, "Can you see anybody crazy enough to try and cultivate roses in a city? Pollution and whatnot? But his are really nice. You should ask him for some," she bent to pick up her handkerchief with a cry of indignation, "Hey! Don't ruin the sentimental moment!! I'm not going to follow you!! Whyever would I do that?"
Whyever would I do that... When I have buttonhole cameras installed in every corner of his house!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!
And it was with that thought that Kinoko waved a happy [tearful and using the handkerchief] goodbye to her friend as she walked down the street, "Don't dawdle on the way!!"

"Don't dawdle," Hanshou mumbled under her breathe. Well, she did have to thank Kinoko for getting her into this mess or sorts. The introduction of Drey, the arranging of a "meeting", and the choosing of her outfit. We'll just have to see how this all turns out, eh?
Hanshou held up a hand above her eyes to shield the glare of the setting sun. "White roses...Looks like that's the house." She ambled up the walkway and rang the doorbell, turning back to marvel at the beautiful rose bushes, breathing in the sweet aroma. The languorous scent was intoxicating. (heh)

Drey wandered about the halls upstairs, pacing though he knew not why, drying his damp hair with the light yellow towel in his hands. With a twist of his mouth, he realized that he had grabbed the wrong conditioner in his haste.
"Herbal Essences", he read and promptly groaned. Right. Great way to showcase his virility by welcoming his date with the scent of roses in his hair. Joy. Brilliant he was born, and amazing he continues to be.

After basking in the sweet scent and marveling the roses for God knows how long, Hanshou was brought back to reality when she realized that no one had answered the door yet. She turned and rang the doorbell again. "Hellooo?" she called out. Hmm...perhaps he's busy with something... she thought to herself, Or maybe he got murdered? Or is stuck under a fallen assortment of boxes? She paused and chuckled, shaking her head, "Nahhhh..."
She tried the doorknob and saw that it wasn't locked. Why don't I invite myself in? He probably won't mind. She turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. The sweet scent of roses that drifted out from the house made her smile (wonder how she can tell when there are roses outside, too.), along with the appetizing aroma of food (yum! XD). Cautiously stepping inside, she glanced over the decorated entryway. "What a lovely house," she commented. Taking off her sandals, she left them by the door and proceeded to wander and explore the house, politely of course. XD

Drey was in the process of flinging through his closet for a decent shirt to wear--that's right. Our infamous ladies' man had no idea what to wear for his date.
"Light green? No, too pastel. White? Ew, I'll look like some kind of musician. Black? No, way too formal for a dinner like this. Aahhh... She should be here soon; what am I going to wear??"
Looks like someone should've asked Kinoko for fashion advice.

Hanshou proceeded to explore the house cautiously, turning corners and scanning the rooms to see any traces of her host, pausing every now and then to marvel at a certain aspect here and there. Concluding that Drey was nowhere to be found on the main floor, she ascended the staircase graciously.
Upon walking through the hallway and peering into each of the rooms, she came upon a slightly closed door from which she heard shuffling. "Drey?" she asked, knocking before pushing the door open to step inside.

Wouldn't it be great to say that Drey, with a rather un-smooth, very un-suave yelp, fell backwards and knocked himself out on his closet door? Well, it would, but it wouldn't help our darling Hanshou any, now would it?
Despite his initial surprise, he pulled himself together well, "Hanshou! My, this is a... surprise. I apologize; I appear to be-" he gestured at his bare torso with nary a hint of embarrassment, "a little indecent at the moment, but I cannot seem to be able to find anything to wear. I don't suppose you could assist me?"

Hanshou froze in her steps. To tell you the truth, she couldn't help but gape at the half-naked Drey. What a great way to greet someone, eh? Of course, Hanshou lowered her head and turned around in a flurry, her cheeks blushing furiously. "I am sorry to have come in during a...well, such a...uh...bad timing." Come again? Poor Hanshou, she must be in such a flustered state.
Alright, calm down, she thought to herself. Why are you turning so red?, she asked herself angrily. Around other men or guys, Hanshou is the bold and daring type, never shying away, and often throwing around suggestively playful comments (*ERHEM*flirting*cough*) and whatnot, so what's happening here?
She shook her head in denial and dismissed the thought, right when she heard Drey saying, "--to be able to find anything to wear. I don't suppose you could assist me?" She laughed and her playful side kicked in, "Or you could just wear no shirt at all." It went something like that, except she stopped laughing when she realized that she had actually said that out loud. Oh boy...

Drey blinked his long-lashed eyes in mild amusement. Was she blushing? Really blushing? Wasn't that adorable? Yes, he did like to see blushes on her face.
He raised his fine brows in mild surprise. What was that? What a... bold statement from Mistress Hanshou Sukai herself!
He tilted his head in contemplation, "Do I really look that fantastic?" he asked in a fair imitation of an egomaniac, "I mean, I always knew I was rather dashing..." his twinkling eyes invited her to share in the joke with him, "Do I seem to be showing any flab anywhere, at all?" he wondered, turning slowly in a circle to display his... uhh... yea... Showoff, "You figure I'd look better without the shirt?" Yes, he was shamelessly flirting. But what the heck; he was in his element, wasn't he?

Hanshou clamped a hand over her mouth as soon as she realized she had let that line out. But since the effect of it wasn't so bad, she loosened up and played along, overly exaggerating and feigning admiration and fan-girlyness. "Yesss, you look verryyyyyyy-- " she said as if in a daze; then her face became almost expressionless as she finished her sentence with a monotonous, "--dashing. A heartthrob. Did I mention that you look HOTT today? I mean, WHEWW!" she paused to fan herself with a hand, "Someone turn on the A/C!" By the time she ended that sentence, she couldn't help but double over and laugh.
As he did a little spin, she straightened up and poked him in the stomach/abs/steel (if he has any. XD) while saying, "Actually, you DO seem to be...FAT." (Yes, the ever-so-vulgar Hanshou to choose 'fat' over 'chubby' or 'carrying extra baggage'.) But it wouldn't matter how she phrased that, considering that Drey isn't actually chubby. In fact, from Hanshou's perspective, he was very much in good shape and had a great figure. *cough*
"You figure I'd look better without the shirt?"
Her eyes narrowed a bit and her eyebrows were raised slightly, in the *ERHEM* suggestively playful manner, and she slowly approached him, "Oh yess, I figure that you'd be better off without the shirt." She raised a hand to his face and gazed into his eyes. (Yes, a little risque. Woohoo. Go, Hanshou. She could be a great seducer. XDXD) WHACK! Hanshou set the pillow back on the bed (it IS a bedroom right? XD It just occurred to me now..) and grinned. "Please do us both a favor and put some clothes on already!" She then turned and walked out, pausing to give a flirtatious (XDD) wink at Drey before closing the door behind her.

Drey resisted the urge to pout at her [wouldn't that destroy his manly image?], "You know, your sarcasm is doing nothing to help my manly-," he cut himself off as she walked up to him with a decidedly strange look in her eye, "Ehh... Han... shou...?" Moving a little fast, aren't we? were his last thoughts before getting beaned on the head with his own pillow, no less!
He gaped at Hanshou as she walked out the door [was that a sway in her steps?] and smoothed back his mussed hair absently. Feisty, eh? He liked that. He whistled a merry tune as he picked a red silk dress shirt from his closet and slid into it. He buttoned it up, and raised both eyebrows at himself in the mirror.
"Dashing's the word. Get yourself ready for a fantastic evening."
Why, noooo, he's not talking to himself, what are you talking about? Of course not!
That said, he went to the door and opened it, stepping through, "Now... If I may offer Milady dinner?"
