"Why bother with telephatic messages when you're just a phone call away!" Hanshou grinned. Just like old times. "And your number is?" She paused and added, "and stop being so shy, you should be happy that someone is asking for your number. Also be grateful that I am not a guy who is hitting on you." She smirked mischievously.
"Ahhh, he is here? Let's see how this goes." She grinned at Kinoko as she slipped her phone into her pocket. "How do you manage to do that so coolly?" She laughed and mimicked Kinoko, graciously slipping the phone into her pocket, overexagerating every move Kinoko did.

Kinoko snorted, blowing her silvery bangs up into the air, "It'd only take you a second with no extra energy cost, but if you really need to know, it's 1-800-GO2-HELL, Milady Seer," she retorted, grinning. After all, Hanshou was smart enough to know that it was a joke, and more than intelligent enough to turn it against her.
"Insubordinate wretch!" Kinoko exclaimed, lobbing a handful of lettuce leaves in Hanshou's face, "Mimic me will you? Take that!" she laughed, dusting her hands off, "Told you it was cow food."
Though they didn't quite know how he did it, Drey was at Hanshou's side in a second, smiling his easy smile, "My, have you become victim to that vulgar girl's taunts? One such as yourself should not have to endure such agony. I will protect you with my li-" And you can guess what stopped his smoothly flowing words there. As if Hanshou would let some random person - a soon-to-be client - hit on her.
Kinoko gave Matthew a hug, "How'd you meet Drey?" she asked, peering down at him. Hn... Did he get taller?
Matthew shrugged, "He said he was going to meet you here so I brought him along. Aunty Hanshou's not very happy with him, is she?" he asked, commenting on Drey's extremely -cough- warm welcome from Hanshou. Do your stuff, girl.

Hanshou gaped at her. "Well, in that case, I think you should have my number, too. It's 1-800-2-VISIT-U," she grinned back at Kinoko and shrugged. "It's clear that I wouldn't go to hell, unless it's to visit you. But when that time comes, it's hard to say. I may just abandon you altogether."
Hanshou stood calm, and composed. "Why thank you for the lettuce, but I'm sure you would have been better off throwing this much on me--" she took a whole bucket of lettuce and dumped it on Kinoko "--rather than that puny handful. That was weak of you." Hanshou then brushed her hands off and exclaimed, "Look who's the cow, now?"
Hanshou gave Drey a blank stare as he spouted off his nonsense and cut him off, "And who might you be?" She examined him with curiosity. "Ah, no doubt you are this human male Kinoko was talking about earlier. I'm Hanshou." She stuck out her hand. "Please, save your life for yourself. You should not waste it on others, for that can be wreckless. Perhaps I should stuff you with lettuce to clear your mind." She grinned, stepped toward the little umbrella-covered table on her patio and took a seat, motioning for the others to fill the other chairs.

Kinoko made a face, "It's very easy. Given my vanity, it's 1-800-MSH-ROOM. Could've guessed, couldn't you?" Matthew chuckled at that. He had helped come up with it.
Kinoko squeaked as a rain of lettuce leaves - cow food, it was - fell on top of her, "You're the one who had it in the first place," she retorted, "Which still makes you the cow," she looked down at Matt as she brushed both off them off, "Don't laugh, you got sprayed too. Ugh, cow food."
Drey was, to say the very least, surprised. Not very many girls weren't putty before his hands when he turned on the charm. Electrical shortage methinks. Temporary loss of talent he thinks. Ouch. Recovering quickly, he turned the full force - or what he thought was - of his dreamy hazel eyes at her, "If it was from your hand, I would welcome it and more, for you are a princess among-" Kinoko rolled her eyes, thumping him lightly in the stomach, enough to cut off his air for a few brief moments, "I'll take that seat, Hanshou. C'mon, Matt."
Matt followed obediently as Drey gasped for air, taking a seat next to Kinoko. He fiddled with the unique glass patterns in the tabletop as Kinoko lounger over her seat, completely at ease, "I don't think I need to say this, but, 'sic 'im Hanshou, dear'."
Drey gave her a reproving glare, "Such manners aren't befitting a lady, Kinoko," he scolded, "I was merely introducing myself to your gorgeous friend."

Hanshou was - though she never is - puzzled. "MSH? Mushroom? What does mushroom have to do with any of this?" She scooted her chair over to allow more space at the table. "You are an odd one, Kinoko. But that's why I love you." She broke into a wide grin.
Hanshou smiled in amusement. Did he just call me a princess? And gorgeous. This is how he picks up girls? What kind of girls fall for that? They must be idiots. . She laughed quietly to herself. "I still do not know your name," she said to him, trying hard not to laugh at his futile(vain) attempts. 'sic 'im? I might, but not just, yet. I still have to show my manners and not be rude.
Hanshou sighed and leaned back against her chair. "It's nice here in the breeze under the shade. The heat was killing me." She quickly sat back up to attend to her guests. "Would you guys like anything to drink?" She stood up, ready to make her way into the kitchen.

Kinoko sighed patiently, "My name means "mushroom" in Japanese, surely you knew that. As I said, it's a vanity."
"But it's creative," Matthew commented softly.
"Because you came up with it!" Kinoko laughed delightedly, glomping him, "Ohh, you are sooo cute!!"
Matthew blushed though he should have been used to his foster mother's strange quirks already. What an adorable little boy.
Drey jumped at the opportunity to make himself known to the current object of his fancy. Yes, she was more beautiful than any other girl he had ever seen, but she was completely resistant to his charms. Hmm... That just made him all the more eager to win her. Tsk tsk dear, talking about the almighty Hanshou as if she were only a trophy to be collected. Powerful seers don't like that sort of thing you know.
"Oh dear, I must be forgetting my manners. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Drey Fullcrest, but your beautiful persona may call me Drey. And do not worry yourself about drinks," he said immediately in answer to her question, "You need not sully your pristine hands. I shall fetch the trifles; you need only point me the way," he gave an elegant bow, but the effect was ruined by a cake roll striking the back of his head, still in its package.
He looked back to a suspiciously innocent Kinoko who was twiddling her fingers and looking up in a bored fashion at the bottom of the umbrella. Matt's lips were pressed in a thin line as he inspected the tabletop interestedly. Very suspicious.

Hanshou stared at Kinoko. "Mushroom? Why are you named after mushrooms?" Hanshou grinned, and slowly started laughing.
"Matthew is so adorable!" She smiled gleefully along with Kinoko.
Hanshou glanced at Drey as a cake roll striked the back of his head. Trying to stifle a laugh, she grabbed it. "Ahh, you found the cake!" She looked at it and pretended to frown, saying in a stern voice, "I'm afraid your head has warped the cake." She handed Drey the cake and got up, grinning as she turned her back and headed into her house to find the kitchen. "I'll be right back!" she yelled after them.

Kinoko shrugged, "It's a long story. Trust me, you don't wanna know."
Matt blushed as Kinoko laughed, "See? See? I told you so!"
Drey took the cake wordlessly and threw it back at Kinoko, who caught it, "She said my head warped the cake..." he said ominously, "What did you tell her to poison her against me?"
Kinoko blinked at him innocently, tearing open the package, "I didn't tell her anything. To tell you the truth, all I told her was that you had 'social problems'. That's all."
"Then why is she so cold towards me?" he demanded, taking an empty seat at the table, "By now, I would have had any girl swooning and begging to go on a date with my wonderful self. And I'm modest too!"
Kinoko raised an eyebrow at him, "Maybe Hanshou's different."
"Maybe I'm not trying hard enough..." Drey muttered. Poor guy. He considered it a personal insult to his looks if he couldn't get a dozen girls to fall obssessively in love with him every day. Then again, he was having a bad day and he's not his old self. You've got to excuse him. [glow=silver,2,300]...walking this road without you... remaking forgotten promises... to meet you at road's end... [/glow]

OOC: I'd never read this thread before, and as of what happened at grand opening I don't think there's any better time to join then now, hehe,
Ark held the slip of paper, on which he'd jotted down the directions to Hanshou's house, her "Parlor" rather. He was thinking about what had happened back at the sweets shop, and he felt as if he should finish speaking with her. He walked up to the door, and noticed the sign. A fortune teller, now isn't that strange. Ark thought that would be a perfect opportunity to invite himself in.
"Excuse me!" He said entering, "But might Hanshou be-" he was cut off by a slight crunch under his feet. "Lettuce? What a strange place." He sighed and straightened himself, "Is Hanshou here!" He broad casted his voice so if anyone was in here, they'd hear him.

Hanshou opened the refrigerator and grabbed a few jugs of juice to empty into a pitcher that she soon set on the table. Opening a drawer, she pulled out a few more sweets and looked at the time. “Hmm...It’s not yet time for lunch yet. This’ll just be a mid-morning refreshment.” She grabbed the pitcher with one hand and held the platter with another when she heard someone calling her at the door. She carried the things with her to the door to greet her visitor.
She saw him at the entrance and squinted her eyes before she recognized him. “Why, hello there! Nice of you to come by!” She smiled. “How are you doing on this fine morning?” She started walking farther into her house towards the backdoor and motioned for him to follow. “Come join us!”
As she stepped out, she paused and heard Drey whining about something. At least she thought it was whining. She jumped out to surprise them and set the platter down on the table, along with the pitcher. Grinning, she turned to Drey, "Sound’s like someone's frustrated about something.” She started pouring drinks for each person and handed a cup to Matt, then Kinoko, smirking at Kinoko (about Drey) without him noticing. As it was Drey’s turn, she playfully twirled and graciously handed him the cup before curtsying. "Here you go. Feeling better?" She secretly grinned at Kinoko.
She filled one for herself and one for the visitor. "It's great to have another lovely guess join us for today."

./OOC;` Kinoko's gonna be evil and help Drey out, so have Hanshou accept please, but. BUT. XD She doesn't have to do it gracefully. XD She can make Drey miserable and believe me, I'd be happy to see it. XD
The corner of her lip twitched uncontrollably as if Kinoko was trying to stifly laughter, "Looks like you need to be a bit more discreet with your conquests, Drey, dear. Thanks, Hanshou."
"Thank you, Aunty Hanshou," Matthew said quietly, accepting the cup.
Drey was a bit surprised at the flourish Hanshou gave him with his utensils. Though I couldn't say it wasn't pleasant surprise, don't get me wrong, "Why, thank you," he replied to her attention, his easy smile back in place once more, "Are you sure you wouldn't like to rethink my offer about dinner tonight?"
Before Hanshou could point out to him - quite painfully - that he had never made such an offer, Kinoko interrupted, throwing a brochure out onto the table and eyeing their new guest out of the corner of her eye. Best to get this done and over with, "Actually, that reminds me. I was hoping you guys could go here," here being an extremely elaborate setting complete with velvet walkways, crystal chandeliers, as well as several butlers and maids to see to your every whim; definitely one of your finer restaurants, "And get to know each other, you know, to have rapport for your upcoming psychological drubbing," she snorted at the wry face Drey made at her, "Ah, did I actually say that? I meant gentle help, of course. Reinforcing the mental barriers of your delicate mind."
Matthew would never pick eat something first while he was a guest so he patiently waited for someone else to pick one first. Noticing this - as if her attention was away from him for long anyways - Kinoko promptly picked out a tart she knew was his favorite and passed it to him, "Eat up Matt, you need the extra fat," she tapped the brochure to bring extra attention to it, "And don't tell me you guys can't go tonight or I'll tie you up, throw you in a sack, and drag you there. Then we'll see if you can't go tonight," she threatened. [glow=silver,2,300]...walking this road without you... remaking forgotten promises... to meet you at road's end... Ark went over and sat with the other's in the back. A human he didn't recognize, but by his looks he appeared to be a ladies man. A fox demon, he ran the sweets shop, and a young deer demon with her. He also heard someone call. Crowded, hmmm. Ark then noticed the brochure on the table.
"Huh, I've been to that place." Ark smirked, remembering the experience. "It was, alright, but its a bit too fancy there almost." Ark pulled something out from behind his back, a bouquet of flowers. "I had brought these for you Hanshou, but it seems someone else has made claim to you, or am I mistaken?" Ark noticed the dissatisfied look on the humans face. "If not, I'll take you somewhere far better then that restaurant Hanshou, and it won't cost a cent." He smiled, the same true smile that this woman had reminded him he had.
